5G-SHARE Consortium to AIRi@UTCN
AIRi@UTCN welcomed the 5G-SHARE consortium, during the project workshop hosted by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca on 19–20 October.
The visit gave consortium partners a closer look at the research environment that will host UTCN’s 5G-SHARE mobile private network. The network will bring advanced 5G connectivity closer to AI-driven research and innovation. Partners also learned how this infrastructure will support UTCN’s use cases, from hybrid XR learning and 5G sensing to shared academic labs in virtual environments.
5G-SHARE brings together universities, companies and telecom operators from Ireland, Romania, the Czech Republic and Italy: Atlantic Technological University, FifthIngenium, Vodafone Romania, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Vodafone Ireland, Vodafone Czech Republic, Brno University of Technology (FEEC) and ADAPTA studio. Together, the partners are deploying advanced 5G private networks for cross-border innovation in education and research.
