On 17- 18 June 2026, AIRi@UTCN took part in the Italy - North-West Romania bilateral economic mission held in Cluj-Napoca and organised by ADR Nord-Vest through the Enterprise Europe Network.
Following the matchmaking sessions organised on 17 June, AIRi@UTCN welcomed, on 18 June, representatives of clusters and organisations from the Emilia-Romagna region at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to present AIRi’s mission, research directions and role within the regional innovation ecosystem. The delegation included representatives of the Agrifood, Innovate, Mech, BigData and Health clusters from Emilia-Romagna, opening valuable discussions on potential collaboration between research, technology and industry.
Bringing people, ideas and disciplines together is an important part of AIRi’s mission. In this spirit, the Italy - North-West Romania bilateral economic mission offered a valuable opportunity to share AIRi’s work, identify common interests and build new connections with clusters and organisations from Italy.
