Catalin Golban

Cătălin Golban is an engineering and innovation leader at Bosch, passionate about developing technology, organizations, and people to create meaningful impact. With more than 20 years of experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and computer vision, he leads the development of advanced methods and solutions that bring innovation into products that scale globally.

He holds a PhD from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN), with research focused on computer vision. Throughout his career, he has been motivated by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and meaningful products, transforming ideas and state of the art methods into solutions that make impact, solving real-world challenges.

He believes sustainable innovation comes from combining engineering excellence with ambitious, curious, collaborative and continuously learning teams.

One of his key motivation is also to build advanced technology and AI capabilities in Romania, demonstrating that deep-tech solutions can be not only implemented here, but created, shaped, and led from Romania.”
